Standing water has to come out first. Carpet, pad, hardwood, the grout lines, the bottom of the wall. If it stays there it keeps soaking in deeper, and every gallon we pull out now is a gallon that doesn't have to be dried out of the structure later.

Getting the Water Out
We bring truck-mounted and portable extractors, pumps for deeper water, and weighted tools that press the carpet and pad so the water is pulled up instead of pushed sideways into the next room. On hard floors we squeegee and vacuum so nothing is left sitting in the grout or under the baseboard. Closets and tight spots get the same pass as the big rooms.
What You'll See
Hoses run from the truck or a portable unit to where the water actually is. We move furniture as needed and put down protection so we're not tracking water through the rest of the house. When the standing water is gone we go back through the rooms again, because corners and the bottoms of cabinets hold water you can't see from the doorway.
Extraction gets what's on the surface. What soaked into the floors and walls is handled by structural drying, and that starts the same visit.
